Great Synagogue

Great Synagogue (110 Allenby Street, Tel Aviv) – this synagogue is located just east of the Shalom Tower (designed by Yehuda Magidovitch and completed in 1926). It was renovated in 1970 with a new external façade of arches. This house of worship was built at a time when it was located in the center of the then-smaller city of Tel Aviv (when the country’s Jewish population was far smaller). Nowadays, decades after the establishment of the State of Israel, it lies in the center of Tel Aviv’s thriving business district.
